Cartoon in poor taste

This is to register a strong
protest against the devaluation of my homeland, India, in the
cartoon published in the Jan. 28 1998 edition of The Daily O'Collegian.

This cartoon shows India as a
terrorist country, with people killing foreign students. This is
total degradation and depicts India in an opposite manner of its
peaceful nature. Indians have been known, for centuries, throughout
the world, to be tolerant and peace loving. It is also worth
bringing notice that we are the world's biggest democratic country
and great believers of human values.
Publishing such matters is, I
believe, absolutely misleading and is worth avoiding.

cartoonist: Has he, in person, ever visited India?
